Leaderboard Coffee is an arcade-themed coffee subscription box that features 10 different mysterious coffees that encourages players to taste and learn more about coffees from around the world. As the Director of Naps of the Canadian chapter of Getchu Some Gear, it’s my pleasure to share more about this amazing program. Founded by Chris McAuley in 2019, Getchu Some Gear is a coffee gear exchange program for marginalized coffee professionals. 

There are a lot of barriers to entry when it comes to specialty coffee - one of them being that coffee gear is not always affordable or accessible. Since many baristas and other coffee folks make minimum wage in cafes, having professional coffee gear to brew and practise with at home is not often something many can afford. Systematically, marginalized coffee professionals feel this the hardest. That’s where Getchu Some Gear comes in to provide coffee gear to the folks who need it the most.
